FIND YOUR Limit
A private coaching journey to strip away the noise, rebuild your strength, and take on one challenge so meaningful it will quietly shape the rest of your life.
What’s a Misogi?
This is not a retreat. It’s a rite of passage.
“Make it really hard. Don’t die. Make it weird. Don’t tell anyone.”
Adventures are for everybody. By designing an adventure that pushes you to your limits, you can transform your life in ways that we can not imagine.
In Japan, a misogi is a modern rite of passage, one raw, physical challenge with a 50% chance of failure, designed to push you to your mental and physical edge.
It’s not a race or an opportunity to make social media content. It’s an opportunity to do something that will last longer than any like or comment. Something you will look back on as a transformative moment in your life.
Misogi comes from an ancient Japanese purification ritual, often performed beneath freezing waterfalls to strip away distraction, ego, and impurity. Today, a Misogi can be anything that’s:
Hard enough that you might not finish
Strange enough that you can’t compare it
Private enough that no one else knows and no one else needs to
Most people never attempt something like this. Our lives have become too comfortable. We are disconnected from our environment and ourselves. This is an opportunity to do something you didn’t dream was possible.
That’s where this coaching journey starts.
Why you need a guide?
Adventures and Misogi’s can be hard to define.
There is no medal or t-shirt at the finish line.
That’s the point.
But that’s also why most men never do one.
You could spend months wondering:
What would a challenge with a 50% chance of completion even look like for me?
Am I just being dramatic or is this actually hard enough?
How do I train for something I’ve never done before and might not finish?
Am I doing this for myself… or for attention?
You don’t need to answer those questions alone.
As your coach, I help you find your Misogi, train for it, and do it with complete presence.
This is your one shot at doing something that will divide your life into before and after, and walk away knowing you didn’t need applause to earn your clarity.

A 3–5 day fully unplugged challenge designed just for you
(hike, paddle, wild camp, trail run, or something even stranger…)
-
No. Your Misogi will be tailored to your current physical ability, not mine, not anyone else’s. This isn’t about athletic performance. It’s about discomfort, honesty, and effort. You’ll train during the programme and improve along the way.
-
That depends entirely on you. It could be a multi-day hike, a cold-water trek, a canoe trip, a bikepacking route or something even stranger. We design it together based on what scares you, excites you, and pushes you.
-
No. This is not a retreat, and it's not a packaged adventure holiday. It’s a 1:1 coaching container that ends in a real, raw challenge designed to shift your internal state, not entertain you. It’s a rite of passage.
-
Yes. No phones, no socials, no digital escape routes. You don’t get to track it, post it, or use it for content. That’s the point. This is for you, not for likes, not for validation.
-
Everything except travel and gear. Coaching, planning, daily structure, fitness prep, route design, safety, guidance, and the full expedition experience with me are included. You’ll cover your own travel, kit, and food but I’ll help you plan and simplify all of it.
-
Every Misogi is different, which means the price depends on what we design together.
Some challenges take place in the UK over 3–4 days. Others involve multi-day expeditions overseas with complex logistics. What you’re paying for isn’t a set package, it’s a tailored experience with 1:1 coaching, structured preparation, and a fully guided expedition that fits your physical ability, mindset, and goals.
As a guide, most clients invest between £4,500 and £6,000 for the full 3-month container and expedition.
Payment plans are available, and there’s no pressure or upselling, if we speak, it’ll be to see if it’s genuinely the right fit.If you’re serious about doing something that could shift the direction of your life, apply and we’ll talk through what that could look like for you.
-
Yes. Payment plans are available after application and acceptance into the programme.
-
Absolutely. Use the application form to register your interest and I’ll offer a no-pressure discovery call to see if it’s the right fit for both of us.
